Trina Lyn Fishing Charters was founded in 1994. At the time there were 4 to 5 Charter boats operating out of the Old Orchard Beach Area. Today none of those business's remain.

The business has been built one customer at a time. Captain Todd has worked tirelessly to be able to have a business that is built on reputation. Other then a web site and a 3.5" x 8.5" rack card there has been no paid advertising. Captain Todd has always been very proud to allow the RESULTS speak for themselves. There are many many customers who return to the Trina Lyn every year while on vacation in Old Orchard Beach Maine. Many of these customers consider their annual fishing trip aboard the Trina Lyn as much of a tradition as getting a Maine Lobster Dinner.

In 1999 we developed a website. www.trinalyn.com The web site has been instrumental in bringing in new business each season, as well as allow regular customers to see up to date results on the very popular "Captains Notes" page.

The bulk of the business entails running half day (4 hr) fishing charters within 2-3 miles from shore. We are fishing primarily for Striped Bass and Bluefish. Most all customers are staying in the Old Orchard Beach area which is a family resort town. The Trina Lyn picks up it customers at a commercial fishing pier known as Camp Ellis Pier in the town of Saco Maine. The business runs from Mid-May through Mid-September, but 85% of the business takes place during July and August. In 2005 the Trina Lyn was the least expensive 4 person private charter boat in the State of Maine. We still brought in more then $38,000. There is room for higher rates, which could easily bring the season income of $40,000.
